Job Summary:
As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating complex technical manufacturing problems, providing analysis & solutions to the problems, and discussing ways to improve quality, productivity, and safety. You will also be responsible for working with maintenance team members, plant personnel, electrical contractors, and corporate engineering on ways to improve existing capabilities and/or developing new ones.
Oversee and evaluate capital projects and kaizen events within a time sensitive environment.
Review and evaluate automation issues, advanced manufacturing methods and equipment, line layouts, and material handling / material flow.
Anticipate & provide solutions to potential technical and/or manufacturing problems.
Create safeguards and improvements to safety by means of process improvements.
Provide troubleshooting assistance & training to production and maintenance team
Design new equipment or redesign existing equipment, and coordinate its fabrication,
assembly, installation, and startup.
Support 6S policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
Capable of communicating with maintenance, machine operators, and production mgt.
Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting electrical failures.
History of creating machine control programs.
Experience with robotics, servo systems and industrial electronics
